A Ming Dynasty legend tells of soldiers succumbing to the poisonous mountain mists (miasma). An elder wise woman of the Miao people took pity on them. She prepared a healing brew from the fresh leaves of the venerable tea trees growing by her home. Miraculously, just a single hour after drinking the revitalizing tea, the soldiers were restored to health. News of this powerful tea spread all the way to the Imperial Court, where it was honored with the highest status: a Tribute Tea (Gong Cha) fit for an Emperor. This tea is celebrated for its fragrant aroma, vibrant green color, refreshing taste, and smooth, mellow character. It is exceptionally rich in amino acids , chlorophyll, and water-soluble extracts.
